A small group of Lithuanian basketball fans at the Olympic have been engaging in reprehensible behavior, and undercover members of Scotland Yard arrested a man for “monkey chants” during the game against Nigeria. According to the London Evening Standard, Scotland Yard launched the investigation into the crowd after repeated complaints by other patrons. The behaviors were first noted in Sunday’s game between Lithuania and Argentina. Witnesses also claim that another member of the group had made a “Nazi salute” to a group of team stewards who approached them about the behavior.
