Australian Rower Arrested, Hits Head at Police Station, Goes to Hospital

Yesterday was a long one for Australian rower Joshua Booth. Early in the day Booth was part of Australia’s 8-man rowing team that finished 6th in their competition. Win or lose, rowing looks exhausting. With the competition over, Booth went out and got piss drunk, like any good Aussie would.

Around 1:40 in the morning, Booth was arrested on suspicion of breaking two shop windows. He was taken to jail where he passed out and hit his head. From there, he spent the night in the hospital. He hasn’t been charged – can you really charge someone for being Australian? – but will return to the the police station today to talk to the cops about what an epic night it was.
