Andy Murray Crushed Roger Federer to Win Olympic Gold in Tennis at Wimbledon

Andy Murray defeated Roger Federer in straight sets, 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 to capture the gold medal in Olympic tennis. Murray blasted an ace past Federer on match point and Centre Court at Wimbledon erupted in cheer.

For Murray, who has never won a Grand Slam event – he’s been runner-up four times, and three of those times, he’s lost to Federer – it was the greatest victory of his career.

The gold for Great Britian was the first in tennis in 104 years.
