Lolo Jones, the marketable American hurdler who the New York Times ripped over the weekend, barely qualified for the 100 m hurdles, finishing 3rd in her heat with a time of 12.71. Jones got off to a slow start, and seemed to be all over her lane, but she recovered nicely to advance to the Finals. Australia Sally Pearson won the heat in a blistering 12.39, nearly setting an Olympic record.

Dawn Harper, an American, also qualified for the Finals. She dominated her heat.

The Finals will take place around 4 pm EST. NBC will save the race for tonight, so you’ll want to find a quality BBC feed if (like me) you’re struggling with NBC’s online efforts.
