Goodbye Team GB and Gold Medal Cyclist Victoria Pendleton

The 30th Olympiad is officially over. To celebrate London’s fairly fantastic stint as Olympic host coming to an end, adidas released this video featuring Team GB gold medalists singing Queen’s Don’t Stop Me Now. As we noted this weekend, it was a worthy tribute to a country that won 65 total medals. Great song, great concept and even some great looking people, including chubby, slacker gold medalist Jessica Ennis. Oh, and cyclist Victoria Pendleton who we somehow missed over the last month.

Pendleton was on the August cover of England’s Esquire. (She’s also been in FHM and nude in GQ.) She won gold in the Women’s Keirin and silver in Women’s Sprint. Having won three medals in her Olympic career, Pendleton is hanging up her bicycle and hopes to land on a reality dancing competition. Fair enough.
