The Maryland Terrapins Might Have the Worst QB Situation of Any BCS School

Danny O’Brien, Maryland’s top QB last year, transferred to Wisconsin. His backup last year, CJ Brown, was set to ascend to the starter’s job this Fall … until he tore an ACL Tuesday and was lost for the season. Of course, the injury happened on a non-contact drill.

This leaves Maryland with two freshman quarterbacks, neither of whom has taken a snap at the college level. If you thought Randy Edsall caught a beating last year – all of it deserved – 2012 should be a bloodbath, even though the ACC is a joke. I imagine the spread for the West Virginia game on Sept. 22 in Morgantown will be in the low 40s.

Maybe the Terps will trot out a fresh batch of snazzy Under Armor jerseys to mask the stench of another awful season in College Park.

Somewhere, Ralph Freidgen is cackling and rolling a blunt.
