Russell Wilson got his first professional start last night for the Seattle Seahawks. With Matt Flynn out with a sore elbow, Wilson, the former Wisconsin Badger and Colorado Rockies draft pick, completed 13 of 19 passes for 185 yards and two touchdowns in his first start.
As Doug Farrar points out, Wilson has been great throughout the preseason, throwing for 464 yards and 5 touchdowns to go along with just one interception. He also has the NFL’s best preseason QB rating at 119.4 and has also run the ball 10 times for 150 yards and a touchdown. Wilson was the 75th overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft and the Seahawks are 3-0. This is just your usual case of the Preseason MVP leading the Preseason Champs.
