It was Vin Scully bobblehead night at Dodgers Stadium on Thursday evening and, to the surprise of no one, everything went marvelously.

When Scully came out to throw the ceremonial first pitch, he fittingly did so in original fashion, opting to have each of his grandchildren hold the ball before casually tossing it to Don Mattingly at home plate. Classy approach. The man is a silky smooth operator. Scully’s presence is so magical, in fact, that he inspired the sky to create a rainbow during the festivities.

Only Vin Scully. This kind of thing would never happen to Michael Kay or Hawk Harrelson.
