NFL Sunday: Robert Griffin III Opens Against the Sean Payton-Less Saints
By Jason Lisk
I think Washington has the best chance to pull the road upset of those three, given the uncertainty in New Orleans and the team around him, though it would be a significant upset if any went on the road and one. Hey, it’s the NFL and nothing we thought over the last month matters now. Football is back, baby!
Here are the rest of the afternoon’s games in the order I will be watching, at least until things turn wacky in the second half:
1 PM Games
Atlanta at Kansas City
Buffalo at NY Jets
New England at Tennessee
Jacksonville at Minnesota
Philadelphia at Cleveland
St. Louis at Detroit
The late games feature the fantastic matchup of the day: San Francisco at Green Bay. The 49ers front seven is tremendous, and it will be interesting to see how Green Bay spreads them out and attacks. These teams did not meet last year, so it’s our first glimpse of what the new look 49ers and old school defense can do against Aaron Rodgers, who was snubbed by the organization for Alex Smith seven years ago.
Other 4 PM Games
Seattle at Arizona
Carolina at Tampa Bay
