Philip Rivers Did Not Like Norv Turner's Field Goal Decision

“You’ve Gotta Punt This Ball! Norv!”
Philip Rivers did not want the Chargers to try a 55-yard field goal with Nick Novak, a replacement kicker in for injured Nate Kaeding. He wanted him to punt. Of course, the correct answer is to go for it, so it’s not shocking that both got it wrong. It does amaze me that coaches will freak out if they have to try a pass with a backup for one play, but kicker who you can find off the street? Eh, why not?
