San Diego and New Orleans Generated a Higher Rating on NBC Than Both Baseball Games on TBS/TNT Combined

What were you watching Sunday night? Drew Brees set a record and lead the Saints to a come-from-behind win at home over the Chargers on NBC? Homeland? Dexter? Boardwalk Empire? 666 Park Avenue? Or rain-delayed Yankees/Orioles on TBS and the start of Reds/Giants on TBS?

Here are your sports overnights (subject to change when the final numbers are in):

Chargers/Saints: 11.7 – but down 16% from SNF in Week 5 2011!
Yankees/Orioles: 3.
Reds/Giants: 0.9

Yankees/Orioles did a higher rating than SNF in just three markets, according to NBC: New York, Baltimore, and Hartford, Connecticut.

You probably weren’t watching 666 Park Avenue. Ratings fell 30 percent from the season premiere. Does that mean I should delete it from my DVR instead of watching it?

Because you want to see it first!
