Andre Drummond, the raw 6-foot-11 center from UConn, slipped a bit in the June draft (went 9th overall) because he was viewed as a major project. Drummond, who just turned 19 in August, has no discernible post moves, and is basically a run-and-jump talent.
Tell that to the Milwaukee Bucks, who got abused by Drummond in a preseason game to the tune of 19 points, 10 rebounds (seven offensive) in 25 minutes. Fast-forward to the 1:20 mark, when Drummond blocks a shot, then races on the fast break and dunks with authority over hapless Ersan Ilyasova.
Yes, I’m aware this is just the preseason and it means nothing, but for Pistons fans … DARE TO DREAM! Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond could be your frontcourt for the next decade!
