Ronda Rousey Will Headline UFC 157 on February 23, 2013 Versus Liz Carmouche

Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche will be the first women’s fight in UFC history. The fight will go down on February 23, 2013 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Rousey and Carmouche will headline the event, which already includes Dan Henderson vs. Lyoto Machida and Urijah Faber vs. Ivan Menjivar. Dana White officially announced the fight during today’s UFC on FOX press conference. White also presented Rousey with the first women’s UFC championship belt. (Here’s a gif!)

As for Carmouche – She is 7-2 in her career and is coming off two straight wins in Invicta following two straight losses in Strikeforce in 2011. The only real question about the fight is how long Carmouche can last before she taps. My conservative prediction? 20 seconds.

(If you’re keeping score at home, TMZ scooped the MMA media on this one.)
