The worst case scenario when Robert Griffin III took the hit below has been avoided. The team has announced that a MRI revealed no ligament tears to his right knee, calling it a knee sprain. Robert Griffin III just tweeted out “Your positive vibes and prayers worked people!!!! To God be the Glory!”

He still may miss at least a game. We’ll find that out as the week progresses and he deals with the swelling from his leg doing that (points below). Very fortunate that he did not sustain either a broken fibula or serious knee ligament damage beyond a sprain with the way that leg whipped around after Ngata’s hit. Great news as well.
