Josh Brent Initially Left Teammate Jerry Brown in a Burning Vehicle, According to Eyewitness

The Dallas Morning News has an interview with an eyewitness to the aftermath of the drunk driving accident involving Josh Brent that killed Jerry Brown. Stacee McWilliams drove up on the accident scene after it occurred. She described seeing Josh Brent standing outside the vehicle, and asked him if he was fine.

Then, the flames from Brent’s vehicle starting getting bigger, and that is when she heard a voice from the car yelling “help me, help me, somebody help.” When Ms. McWilliams told him to get the passenger out of the car, Brent reportedly said “he won’t get out of the car.” Brent eventually pulled Brown out of the burning vehicle after being prompted repeatedly, according to the woman.
