Villanova Upsets No. 3 Syracuse and Georgetown Upsets No. 5 Louisivlle

It’s officially fair to ask the question of just what in the hairy hell is wrong with Louisville. The Cardinals took another loss on Saturday afternoon, their third straight, this time at the hands of Georgetown by a score of 53-51. Peyton Siva, who scored zero points and attempted just two shots, fittingly took the final shot and missed. It’s obviously time for Rick Pitino to break out the white suit.

The other upset worth talking about was Villanova’s overtime win in Philly over Syracuse thanks in part to Ryan Arcidiacono’s three-pointer with 2.2 seconds left in regulation, leading to the inevitable upset in OT. That’s two wins over top five teams in less than a week for ‘Nova, the same team that lost to Columbia by 18 points. No really, they lost to Columbia by 18 points.

On the bright side for Syracuse, despite Michael Carter-Williams and his inability to hit free throws, there’s always this:
