San Francisco Mayor Asking Bars to Serve Something Other Than "Heavy Alcohol" During the Super Bowl

Fearful of a repeat of the carnage and arrests following the San Francisco Giants World Series triumph over the Detroit Tigers in October, the Mayor of the City by the Bay is making a ridiculous plea to some bar owners: Serve something other than alcohol on Super Bowl Sunday.

“I suggest that they serve something (other) than heavy alcohol during the times of celebration cause that inebriation sometimes doesn’t help with people who might go beyond the bounds of acceptability in their celebration

Good luck with that, Mayor Ed Lee. Gatorade and Sunkist should be sufficient for the last game of the football season. Keeping in mind a 49ers fan stabbed a Falcons fan a week ago, and that there were 92 people kicked out of Packers/49ers game, I’ll take the over on arrests in San Fran following the Super Bowl, whatever it is.
