Baylor quarterback Nick Florence will be going pro in something other than sports. After consulting with his wife (what is it with Big 12 quarterbacks getting married?), he has decided to stay in school and finish his MBA. He will not enter the NFL Draft.

"“I’ve decided to hang up my cleats and finish my master’s in December,” Florence said. “My wife and I have spent the last 1 1/2 months talking about it, and it all came down to what we wanted in life, and it didn’t include playing football.”"

Florence filled in finely for RG3 his senior season, amassing more than 4,800 total yards and 43 total touchdowns. He led all players not named Manziel in total yards per game. Undersized and inaccurate with deep balls, he was not a top-tier NFL prospect, though a very late round pick/free agent deal as an understudy in a read option offense might have been in play.

He expects to finish his degree in December, about the time the man will force him to shave that beard.
