Gary Johnson: Former Texas Forward Suffered Fractured Skull Playing in Israel

Gary Johnson, a former Texas basketball player, has been placed in a medically-induced coma after suffering a fractured skull while playing in Israel. The injury happened when he was elbowed in the head inadvertently. It is not believed to be life threatening. He was playing for the Israeli team Hapoel Galil Elyon.

Johnson played for Texas from 2007 to 2011. He was a two-time Big 12 All Reserve Team selection and started 36 games as a senior, averaging 11.5 points and 6.8 rebounds.
