The Cops Showed Up At Ron Artest's House Tuesday Morning So He Put On His Cookie Monster Pajamas

The police were called to the home of Metta World Peace early Tuesday morning. Artest hadn’t done anything wrong, but three actors working on a movie Artest is producing were running around with fake guns. The men where rehearsing a scene outside Artest’s condo when the police were called. From the LA Times:

When the police arrived, they handcuffed the actors and the director of the movie. World Peace’s younger brother, Isaiah, heard the ruckus and went downstairs to investigate, but he apparently didn’t have identification on him, and the police handcuffed him, too.

Artest helped clear up the situation with the cops and no charges were filed. Pretty simple. Oh, and by the way…

After a brief conversation with the police, World Peace put on his Cookie Monster pajamas and accompanied them outside.

A ridiculous name, a ridiculous person, a ridiculous object and the police. Just one of those beautiful sentences that any writer would be thrilled to have the opportunity to write.
