Doug Collins Ranted a Bit After Embarrassing Loss to Orlando, Will He Be Coaching Philadelphia Next Season?

The 76ers were embarrassed at home Tuesday by the lowly Orlando Magic, 98-84, and Philadelphia coach Doug Collins was so pissed, he walked off the floor before the final buzzer (which he explains in the above video). The 76ers are 22-33, five games out of the last playoff spot, and I think the players have realized there will be no postseason. Even if they managed to sneak in, they’d lost every game to the Heat by 20.

Damien Wilkins and Jeremy Pargo led the 76ers in scoring with 14 points apiece, which says all you need to know.

This 11-minute video of a shell-shocked Collins – you can see the rage trying to escape his untucked shirt – is fun. I particularly liked the part where he talked about players not “sweating before the game.” Worth noting: He didn’t know why Andrew Bynum wasn’t on the bench.

As Bill Simmons noted, Collins has never made it to a 4th season coaching the same NBA team, and this is his 3rd year in Philly. [Video via CSN Philly]
