Ronda Rousey joined Mike Tyson on Good Day LA this morning to share stories about being terrifying, unbeatable champions who are the face of their sports. It’s always interesting to hear Tyson reflect on his time as champion and you see a similar honesty in the way that Rousey talks about her current situation.
Tyson is a huge fan of the UFC and Rousey has been compared to Mike Tyson. (In the sort of way that Anderson Silva is the Michael Jordan of MMA.) Rousey has created an aura of invincibility in her career that can loosely be compared to the way that Tyson was once feared in the ring. Obviously, Rousey’s 7-0 start with seven first-round arm bars has along way to go to be seriously compared to Tyson’s 37-0 start (4 decisions. First 19 wins by KO or TKO.) Rousey has proven herself as a legitimate and scary draw. Tyson gave her one piece of advice – stay close to her mother and a good lawyer.
