Michigan State took a 35-18 lead into the half against Valparaiso in the first game of the 2013 NCAA tournament. It’s been all Sparty as Valpo only had 12 points with two minutes left in the half, and shot a meek 23 percent. If you think Michigan State might be taking the 14-seed lightly, check out this sequence midway through the half when Sparty throws two unnecessary alley oops that drew the ire of announcer Verne Lundquist. Bill Raftery and everyone else seemed to enjoy the first half showboating attempts.
