Jim Larranaga is 63, but he’s got the dance moves of a 30-year old. The Miami coach was finally able to exhale in the locker room after the Hurricanes made a few late free throws to beat Illinois, 63-59.
Miami did get a very fortunate call from the refs (see below) in the final minute when they blew an out-of-bounds call that should have given Illinois the ball down two. Instead, it went to Miami, and the Hurricanes made their free throws.
Anyway, back to Larranaga. Look at those moves! Hammertime.
Next up for Miami will be Marquette, Thursday or Friday night in the Sweet 16.
