Matt Doherty thinks that the NCAA tournament and the players deserve a certain level of respect that CBS is not offering. On an ESPNU roundtable show called “The Experts,” Doherty suggested CBS employ regular college basketball analysts during their tournament coverage, calling it “turrible” – an obvious nod to Charles Barkley. On the one hand, Doherty has a good point. Barkley adds no substance to the coverage and is nothing more than stunt casting for college basketball coverage. On the other hand, Doherty works for ESPN and only LeBron knows what kind of nonsense they would give the tournament.
