Sports Illustrated’s latest cover claims Tiger is “BACK” after reclaiming the # 1 ranking in the world from Rory McIlroy. While SI’s cover may be quick judgement – we’ve heard this before – the magazine made sure to clarify their claim with “Maybe, Just Maybe…”
Last month, Woods added another win at Bay Hill, his 8th at the course and 3rd of the season, to his 2013 resume.
The win could possibly be attributed to his 1-hour putting session with one of golf’s best Steve Stricker. At Bay Hill, Woods made 13-of-19 from within 10-25 feet – that’s ridiculous. With putting like that, how could Woods possibly lose?
I’ll wait to claim that Tiger is 100% back until he wins a major, but the way his 2013 season is going, we may get one more glimpse at the Tiger of old at the Masters this year.
