Lithuania and Great Britain met on Wednesday during the round robin portion of the Under-18 World Championship in Estonia. Great Britain won, 3-2. As the final seconds ticked off the clock, #16 – Lithuania’s Danielius Nomanovas – wound up as if he was going to take an imaginary slapshot, and threw his stick at a referee, hitting him in the upper body. The referee went down to one knee briefly, clutching his shoulder. A player from the opposing team went after Nomanovas, but the referee broke that up quickly. [via @cartmaniak]
