Matt Mitrione got his first win in almost two years today at UFC on Fuel 9 in Sweden. The fight lasted just 19-seconds as opponent Phil De Fries just kind of ran into Mitrione’s leg and fell to the ground. I guess you could compare it to someone running into the wall as Mike Goldberg and Kenny Florian did no less than 12-times each. Mitrione then jumped on top of him and started hitting him with elbows and punches and the fight was stopped. De Fries has now lost 3 of his last 4 fights by knockout – all in the first round.
Three very good under-the-radar defensive ends to keep an eye on.
