UConn Unveils Ugliest Helmets in College Football

UConn changed its logo as part of its quest for greater visual identity. Today, the school unveiled its new line of sports uniforms, along with these helmets. The front features a weird Husky head. The back features a matte, mohawk stripe thing that comes to a point, with “UCONN HUSKIES” in big letters below it.

The generic new logo was clearly the masticated work of a consulting firm. These look like someone forgot the unveiling was today, whipped up something quickly on Mac Paint and slapped stickers on some blank helmets lying around. What was wrong with a trim, tasteful off color stripe? Yuck.
