Darrelle Revis is Going to Tampa for a Physical, Meaning a Trade Between the Jets and Bucs is Likely to Be Finalized

Darrelle Revis is on his way to Tampa to undergo a physical for the Buccaneers, according to Adam Schefter. According to Jake Steinberg, Woody Johnson’s private plane is en route, and is scheduled to land at 9:54 eastern time.
What does this mean? Well, a deal is probably pretty much done pending Revis checking out as being on track with where the Buccaneers expect him to be in the rehab process. We’ll have to see where the picks end up, but this year’s 1st rounder (13th overall) is almost certainly involved, along with some later picks.
This has been the worst kept secret for awhile, with both sides sparring through the media and trying to act like it was not destined to happen. The Jets must have come to the realization that no one else was going to match Tampa Bay’s offer. Love this deal for Tampa Bay, of course pending a contract extension. The Jets, meanwhile, are in full rebuild mode. Congrats on that lame duck season with the lovely tattoo, Rex.
