Robinson Cano Now Under Investigation for Biogenesis Connection; Associate Appeared on Client Roster

MLB is investigating a possible connection between Robinson Cano and the Biogenesis clinic, after the spokeswoman for his foundation, Sonia Cruz, appears in the records, according to ESPN’s Outside the Lines. Throw in the connection between the clinic and Melky Cabrerea and Alex Rodriguez, and there is enough smoke for the league to take interest.
According to the report, Cruz initially denied involvement with the clinic, but records show a $300 tab in both July and August of last year. Cruz claims that she only met with a nurse outside the clinic just to talk about a diet program, but never went through with anything.
