Tyler Eifert, the best tight end in the 2013 NFL draft, is going to Cincinnati. Andy Dalton will now have the option of throwing to AJ Green – already a top seven receiver in the NFL – or Eifert, a 6-foot-6 beast who should dominate in the red zone. Oh, and expect some two tight end sets with Jermaine Gresham, too. I absolutely love this pick, and I actually think the Cincinnati Bengals are a Super Bowl contender.
(In my 2014 Mock Draft, coming out Monday, I have my order set, and I have the Bengals in the AFC Title game. That was before this pick.)
When you reach the playoffs two years in a row, only to lose in the first round twice, mostly because you couldn’t score, Eifert is a smart pick.
Atlanta, which traded up to 22nd moments ago (with the Rams), just drafted Desmond Trufant, the cornerback from Washington.
