Don't Tell Mike Francesa He Uses His iPhone Too Much During an Interview [Audio]

Mike Francesa vs. the New York Jets might as well be the Hatfields vs. the McCoys in the New York media landscape.
Since Rex Ryan took over, Francesa has never missed a chance to tweak Gang Green. In turn, the Jets have all but forbidden anyone from the organization from appearing on the show. (And when they do, like Darrelle Revis, it tends to end in disaster.)
Tuesday in the 4 o’clock hour of the show, Jets GM John Idzik surprisingly called in to talk to Francesa. The interview itself wasn’t very newsworthy aside from Idzik’s non-committal answers to the team’s laughable five-man quarterback situation.
As is usually the case with a Francesa interview, the first few calls afterward either love to praise him for doing such a great job, or question the Big Guy’s methods.
“Mike in Milford” didn’t appreciate Francesa using his iPhone so much during the interview. What followed was quintessential Francesa.
"“If I need ya help, I’ll call you, ok.”"
Remember, never — ever — tell the Pope how to run his show. It’s New York’s No. 1 for a reason.
