The Montreal Canadiens – Ottawa Senators series has officially been reclassified as “chippy” following a 6-1 Senators win that included full, honest-to-Gordie-Howe line brawl. With the Senators up 4-1 and well on their way to a 2-1 series lead in the 3rd period of game 3, all 10 skaters on the ice dropped their gloves for some old fashioned hockey fightin’. By the time the referees restored order, 147 penalty minutes were handed out while the Senators took their victory laps. Game 4 is Tuesday night, but I’m sure everyone will have calmed down by then.
