Douse your torches and file away your pitchforks. The rogue NBA MVP voter who did not vote LeBron James MVP has been found. The Boston Globe’s Gary Washburn was the heretic who rebutted the twitteratti. He wrote a column about it.

"“I just honestly felt that Carmelo Anthony lifted the Knicks to new heights this season – a No. 2 seed and their first division title in 19 years – with an aging roster, the team’s second-best player [Amar’e Stoudemire] out most of the season and a myriad of other injuries,” Washburn told Yahoo! Sports."

Washburn must crack 10 Nickelback jokes as penance. Worth noting: Washburn’s treachery did not “deny LeBron James a unanimous MVP.” It denied you the right to say “unanimous MVP” for a brief period.
