J.A. Happ of the Blue Jays was carried off the field on a stretcher during Tuesday night’s Toronto – Tampa Bay game. Rays’ center fielder Desmond Jennings hit a line drive that struck Happ in the side of the head, leaving Happ on the ground holding his head. (You can watch the terrifying gif here. Video below.) Happ had no time to react. Medical staff reacted quickly to tend to Happ and stabilize his neck. He was moving his hands as he left the field. (Update: Happ was conscious on his way to the hospital.)
