You know what we need more of these days? Random, weird combinations of people on variety shows, so that we can look back in 30 years and laugh. Remember the Arnold Schwarzenegger Christmas video where Mike Tyson, Randy Travis and Danny DeVito got together because, of course they did?

Here is a delightful video where NC State basketball coach Jim Valvano and Cleveland Browns wide receiver Webster Slaughter are both rapping, with Slaughter laying it down about how Drugs Can Kill. This clip comes from the old ESPN show from the late 80’s and early 90’s called “The Lighter Side of Sports.” It features Valvano as host, Nik and the Nice Guys as the mulleted house band in the background, and Webster Slaughter wearing short shorts and Soul Glo.
