Tommy Lasorda and Frank Sinatra in a Great Photo From the Dodger Glory Days

Tommy Lasorda and Frank Sinatra shortly before massive orgyTommy Lasorda posted this superb photo of he and Frank Sinatra hanging out in Lasorda’s office back in what had to be the late 70s or very early 80s.

The former Dodgers manager did so to honor his good buddy, Ol’ Blue Eyes, who sadly passed away 15 years ago today after suffering a second heart attack.

Sinatra holding a can of Coke that definitely wasn’t a Coke while sporting a satisfied grin and a collar that could stop time, coupled with a vibrant Lasorda and his trusty digital watch is just top notch. A can of Tab in the background and a ball boy completely at ease with life do a nice job of rounding things out.

The only thing we’re missing here are a couple cigars.

Note: Yes, winning two World Series championships (’81 and ’88), four NL pennants and eight division titles falls into the category of “glory days.”
