Matt Kemp reunited with his biggest fan this weekend in Los Angeles. Earlier this month, Kemp was recorded giving a sick fan his hat, jersey, cleats and a signed baseball following a game in San Francisco. The fan was Joshua Jones, a terminally ill cancer patient suffering from inoperable tumors on his spine, who at the time, had just months to live.
This weekend, Kemp flew Jones and his family to Los Angeles to take in a Dodgers-Angels game. Before the game, Kemp brought Jones out on the field to watch batting practice and introduced him to Mike Trout.
Everything Kemp has done for Jones and his family since the initial handshake and autograph have been above and beyond what anyone could have imagined. Good for Kemp. And good luck to Joshua and his family.
