Italian striker Mario Balotelli picked up two yellow cards in yesterday’s 0-0 World Cup Qualifier in Prague against the Czech Republic and was promptly sent off in the second half. The red card clearly didn’t sit too well with Balotelli as he walked off the field and down the tunnel cameras caught him throwing a couple punches at the wall in anger.
If it were any other player, chances are the cameras ignore him as he leaves the field, but not with Balotelli. It’s always something with him, isn’t it?
More pertinent, will Balotelli’s latest bout of immaturity force coach Cesare Prandelli to drop the AC Milan striker from Italy’s Confederations Cup roster? Italy is scheduled to face Mexico in Rio on June 16 in the competition opener for both sides.
