Cory Hahn, an outfielder for the Arizona State Sun Devils who was paralyzed in a freak accident while sliding head first into second base two years ago, was drafted by the hometown Arizona Diamondbacks yesterday. Hahn was Mr. Baseball in California in 2010, and was originally drafted by the Padres out of high school, before attending Arizona State. Because of the draft rules, he wasn’t draft eligible again until this year (what would have been his junior year as a player), and the Diamondbacks remembered. Wonderful move by the organization.
