Doc Rivers Accused Bill Simmons of Trying to Get Him Fired, Simmons Told Rivers to "Stop talking"

Bill Simmons and Doc Rivers got into it during the NBA Draft on Thursday night. Today, the feud blossomed with Rivers going on the Dan Patrick Show and calling Simmons a “fan.”  Then, Rivers went on WEEI and accused Simmons of trying to get him fired. (The full audio of Rivers’ appearance can be heard here.) Meanwhile, Simmons has been using Twitter to defend himself and attack Rivers.

Simmons retweeted WEEI’s Ben Rohrbach and then told Rivers to knock it off in the next tweet.  This is super awkward. Rivers left Simmons’ favorite basketball team, the Boston Celtics, for Simmons’ other favorite basketball team, the Los Angeles Clippers. Everyone knows that it is never OK to leave Boston for Los Angeles. Simmons is a Clippers’ season ticket holder. Also, he covers the NBA for ESPN in a fairly public fashion.
