Joseph Lefeged of the Colts Arrested for Having a Pistol, After Passenger Was Seen Standing Up in Convertible by Police

Joe Lefeged is the latest arrest for a gun violation

Joseph Lefeged, a reserve safety with the Indianapolis Colts, was arrested in Washington D.C. for carrying a pistol, according to Pamela Brown of CNN. It sounds like we need a refresher course on the carrying of firearms, and why any player would be doing so this week after the high profile news surrounding Aaron Hernandez is stunning. According to Brown, police noticed Lefeged when a passenger in his convertible was standing up while the vehicle was moving. The gun was found under the seat.

This is the 30th arrest for a NFL player this offseason (if we consider Chad Johnson and Titus Young to be players at the time of their most recent arrests, dubious since they were not on rosters at the time of the cause of arrest).
