Miguel Montero of the Diamondbacks was 0-for-2 with a walk going into the 7th inning against the New York Mets Sunday night in Arizona. Obviously, the problem was his bat. So Montero tasted his bat by licking it. Apparently, something wasn’t quite right because Montero then asked for another bat. Cody Ross handed Montero a new bat. Montero started tonguing the new bat and decided it was just right. Montero proceeded to ground out to 2nd and finish the game 0-for-5.
Heart smart, probably.

A sports loss can no longer be referred to as a “disaster.”
Well that’s something you don’t see every day on tour.
