Manny Ramirez Cut His Dreadlocks to Play in the Minors

Manny Ramirez is attempting to make it back to the major leagues. His long-shot quest will likely begin anew tomorrow, when he’s expected to play for the Texas Rangers’ Triple-A affiliate Round Rock. He’ll have a completely new look thanks to a team rule banning his trademark dreadlocks.

The transformation has been thoroughly documented.

The Rangers are hoping for a reverse Samson effect on the 41-year-old outfielder. They shouldn’t hold their breath.
