Aaron Hernandez Will Not Be in Madden NFL 25, Will Have to Be Removed from NCAA '14

Allstate Sugar Bowl - Florida v Cincinnati

Aaron Hernandez will be removed from both Madden NFL 25 and NCAA Football ’14, EA Sports has announced. The Madden version has not been finalized and he will be removed from the free agent pool immediately. Hernandez, though, does appear in NCAA ’14 under some sort of rewards screen, and the game was finalized before changes could be made.

“We made a decision to remove Aaron Hernandez from Madden NFL 25 and NCAA Football 14. Because NCAA Football 14 was finalized prior to our decision, Hernandez’ image still appears in the Nike Skills Trainer,” a spokesperson for EA Sports said [to CBS Sports]. “However, he is not in the game, and anyone who unlocks that particular Nike Skills Trainer reward will receive an Alex Smith Ultimate Team player item instead. The image of Hernandez will be removed via a Title Update in the near future.”

If you understand what any of that means, congratulations, and go outside and get some sun. . . now.
