Brazilian Soccer Player Gets 14-Game Ban for Flying Karate Kick to Opponent's Jaw

Who knew Peruvian second division soccer games were televised? Fortunately, they are and provide us with this highlight, err, lowlight: Brazilian player Willington Smith going all-in with a flying foot-first tackle to the jaw of an opposing player. Nigel de Jong and Mark van Bommel, eat your hearts out.

The kick resulted in a 14-game suspension for Smith.

Be sure to listen to the audio of the newsman, repeating “Boom” over-and-over as Smith’s studs meet jaw. [h/t @waatpies]
