Percy Harvin might need to have surgery on his hip, according to Pro Football Talk. Ian Rapoport reports that Harvin has a slight tear in his labrum. The team wants Harvin to try to recover without surgery, but he is reportedly seeking a second opinion. Harvin is a mercurial talent, and when he is completely right, is one of the most versatile weapons in the NFL, but we have seen him miss time to a range of injuries. Seattle gave up a pretty big haul to bring him in as a playmaker, and I had Seattle as a top five group of skill players with the addition of Harvin bumping the other receivers down the depth chart. If he is out, that will be a big blow to letting this offense take the next step to counter what the defenses are going to do to stop Russell Wilson and company in 2013.
