Adam Jones blasted two home runs last night in the Baltimore Orioles’ 6-0 victory over the Boston Red Sox. It was his first multi-homer game of the season. He was rewarded accordingly.
During a postgame interview, first base coach Wayne Kirby delivered a shaving cream pie to Jones’ face. The outfielder didn’t seem very happy about it. Things would get worse.
After cleaning up a bit, he was attacked with another by hitting coach Jim Presley.
Now, proper pie etiquette requires one to leave a towel for the victim, so Jones’ frustration was understandable. And he would know protocol. He’s made quite a habit of treating his teammates to the shaving cream treatment this year.
