MLS All-Stars Film 'Super Bowl Shuffle' Style Music Video to Tout Their Mad Skills

The MLS All-Star Game is Wednesday night in Kansas City. The league’s All-Stars take on Italian club AS Roma (ESPN2, 9 p.m.). During the week’s festivities Graham Zusi, Jack McInerney, Omar Gonzalez, Kyle Beckerman, Chris Wondolowski, Mike Magee, Brad Davis found some time to cut a “Super Bowl Shuffle” inspired music video for Funny or Die touting their awesome skills, specifically that “(they’re) better than the best.”

Or at least the best at wearing wayfarer shades.

Here’s a sample of USMNT center back Gonzalez’s sick rap skills (note he’s performing this while wearing zebra-striped Zubaz): “In the big game we’re gonna play Roma, go so hard we’re going to put ‘em in a coma.”

Also, take note: Beckerman has dreads … and is “known to bust a few heads.”

Death Row Records circa 1993 have nothing on these guys. Damn.

Overall it’s a solid, fun attempt, but to borrow a phrase from William “the Refridgerator” Perry … they end up looking like some “dumb cookies.”

Here’s the original sports music video. When you come at the king you best not miss:
